
Matt Kranovich
Matt Kranovich is a principal and consulting actuary with the Chicago office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2012.
Experience
Matt has over 20 years of experience helping health plans improve their performance and market positioning. As a healthcare actuary and consultant, Matt has partnered with numerous organizations to improve their annual and multi-year results. Clients include startup MA organizations, regional health plans, and national MA and Part D plan sponsors offering a wide variety of plan types, including DSNPs, ISNPs, and CSNPs. With Matt’s help, these organizations are evolving their pricing strategy, benefit design, competitiveness, and financial forecasting and reporting.
Matt began his actuarial career at Health Care Service Corporation, where he spent four years in financial reporting and managed care pricing roles. He then moved to Deloitte Consulting for seven years, where he led CMS bid desk reviews for hundreds of Medicare bids on behalf of CMS and contributed his actuarial expertise to GAAP and statutory audits of health plans and supplemental health insurance carriers.
Matt is regularly quoted in Medicare industry publications and has presented on Medicare topics at various industry conferences, including SOA Health Meetings and several MA-focused seminars hosted by other organizations.
